Eugene Iliescu has 30 years experience in the resource Sector covering mineral exploration, mine development and mine operations in Australia. This includes 10 years offshore experience in the USA, Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe and the Pacific region.
After 10 years in the O&G exploration he joined Metana Minerals Mineral Exploration activities in SE Queensland in the late 1980’s before joining ACM at Wirralie Gold Mine in North Queensland. He has held numerous operational and corporate positions with Ross Mining over a 10 year period and has been involved with the development and operational activities at Wirralie, Yandan, Mt Coolon, Spring Hill Project and Timabrra Gold mine and played a key role as the General Manager for the development of the Gold Ridge Project in the Solomon Island.
After the takeover of Ross Mining he remained with Delta Gold until joining Duke Energy Construction team for the development of the Bass Strait Tasmanian Natural Gas Pipeline before spending three years on development of Geodynamics geothermal project in South Australia
He has also held the position as MD for Ronphos Mine, owned and operated by the Nauru Government and headed the Environmental Department for National Mining Company and Petrogas LLC in the Middle East.
He has recently been consulting for companies in the Middle East, Australia and Pacific on environmental matters and business development opportunities for a number of Middle East entities and Kenex. He is currently the Managing Director for Auzex Resources. An Engineering Surveyor by trade he has a Degree in Social Science and Diploma in OH&S
